The short lecture will be focused on the renovation of Swiss residential buildings. During the lecture, we will show why building renovations are necessary in Switzerland. We will present a methodologyused to quantify the environmental impacts and costs during the life cycle of a building, even when many aspects about the future are still uncertain. We will explain how to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions, and we will present optimal solutions for future climate renovations. With this lecture we would like to contribute to increasing the general knowledge about sustainable and robust building renovation in Switzerland.
