Prof. Dr. Sabine Werner, Prof. Dr. Lukas Sommer, Dr. Maarten Schledorn,  SKINTEGRITY.CH, ETH Zürich & UZH
Lecture in German

The skin is the largest organ of the human body. It forms an important barrier to the outside world and protects us from various threats, such as physical damage, water loss and infections. It also helps us regulate our body temperature and forms a huge surface for sensory perception of our surroundings.

SKINTEGRITY.CH is a Swiss-wide collaborative project that aims to better understand, diagnose and treat diseases and wound healing disorders of the skin. Using current examples, we show what important results can be achieved when the know-how of basic scientists, clinical experts and engineers is brought together. We also report how a new generation of scientists with interdisciplinary knowledge is being trained through this collaboration.
