Hot days and tropical nights are on the rise in Zurich. What is the city doing to protect and maintain the health and quality of life of its residents?

On this walk through Kreis 5, you’ll learn how asphalt, concrete, green spaces, and the surrounding hillsides influence the local urban climate. You’ll gain insight into what’s important in climate-adapted urban planning and what the City of Zurich is doing specifically to reduce heat, based on various research projects.

We’ll start at Turbinenplatz and walk along Heinrichstrasse to the Schütze School.

The walk will take place regardless of the weather. Please prepare according to the weather (sun protection, a drink, rain gear, etc.).
