Ein gutes Leben im Alter – auch mit Demenz

Ältere Menschen auf einer Sitzbank im Park

Impulse presentations, tour and self-experience course (in German)

Ältere Menschen auf einer Sitzbank im Park

If conditions are ideal, we shape our late years of life self-determined, active and with an alert mind. The health centers for old age of the city of Zurich deal holistically with the specialty “Healthy Aging” (also “Good Life in Old Age”). We invite you to learn new methods and innovations to promote and maintain health. Using dementia as an example, since it is still partly a taboo subject in society, we clarify. Dementia goes beyond memory loss and affects cognitive, emotional and social abilities of those affected. Even behavior and personality can change. This can present significant challenges to those affected and those around them.

Join us at the Mathysweg Health Center for an informative afternoon or evening with:

  • Keynote speeches on the topic of dementia,
  • two self-experience posts, which will allow you to experience the world of those affected by dementia,
  • a house tour, among other things through the new dementia roof garden as well as the health and fitness area
  • and learn what terms like Exergames, Dividat Senso and Tovertafel have to do with happiness hormones, quality of life or performance.
