At our booth, you can explore these questions for yourself. Discover skin samples from the SKINTEGRITY.CH biobank, part of a nationwide skin research network. The samples include both healthy skin and skin affected by different diseases, revealing just how versatile and fascinating this organ really is.
Using modern microscopes, researchers can make structures visible that are far too small to be seen with the naked eye. This allows them to gain new insights into the skin and the diseases that affect it. But scientific images are not only found in laboratories. What makes an image scientific? And how do research images differ from images generated by artificial intelligence?
