ARIS – Students are shaping the future of space exploration
ARIS is a student organization for space enthusiasts. What began as participation in student competitions has evolved into a multifaceted organization with three main areas of focus: rockets, satellites, and robotics.
Our rockets are redesigned every year and continuously refined. Over the years, they have been equipped with components we developed ourselves, such as a refueling station and a paraglider mechanism that enables autonomous landings. The engines are also our own designs. They are based on the same physical principles as the propulsion systems of large space launch vehicles. We have just successfully tested a novel rocket propulsion system in which the ignition moves in a circular pattern.
In the field of satellite technology, we are developing our own satellite, which features a communication system we developed in-house as well as an autonomous, miniaturized biological laboratory that enables experiments to be conducted under space conditions.
Finally, in the field of robotics, we are developing autonomous underwater vehicles that can navigate beneath a layer of ice for several days and carry out missions there independently.
ARIS offers students the opportunity not only to learn about advanced technologies in theory, but also to develop, test, and implement them themselves as part of a team. We are excited to present these projects to you at Scientifica.
