Future Plan(t)s – an Art and Science intervention
The future of our plants is one of humanity’s biggest challenges. What reactions do 15 artists have about this current discourse and the future of plants?
What is the future of plants and their interplay under drought conditions from climate change? Should plants be redesigned for climate adaptation or diversified? Will they lose their nutrition? Can our soil, our seeds and our water be preserved? In this exhibition 15 well-known artists reflect on these questions in a greenhouse exhibition pavilion of the SAE Sustainable Agroecosystem Group at the ETHZ.
The 15 artworks, installations, and performances will attempt to raise awareness about the future of plants, soil, nutrition, food, and water. These artistic reactions will be fostered by a process that creates contact with the research group to learn about research in the field of Sustainable Agroecosystems.
