What do TikTok and YouTube know about me? Analyze your social media usage
Social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube shape our everyday lives. With every video and every “like,” these platforms collect data and create a personalized “digital meal.” In this workshop, we’ll show you what data is stored about you and how you can access it. Using the online tool “My Digital Meal,” you can analyze your own digital meal right away—eye-opening insights included. The focus is on TikTok and YouTube, but we’ll also provide insights into Instagram, Facebook, Google, and ChatGPT.
The workshop is offered by the Data Donation Lab at the University of Zurich. Participants will gain insights into their media usage and learn how their usage data can support research.
