And how can researchers track and study them to develop better treatments? This laboratory tour offers fascinating insights into the process of metastasis: the spread of cancer from one part of the body to another. The session begins with a short presentation and Q&amp;A, explaining how cancer cells travel through the bloodstream and how scientists investigate their behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>You will then visit a research laboratory showcasing key technologies used to detect and capture rare cancer cells from blood samples. Learn how select and study individual cancer cells in detail. Selected microscopy images, including examples of live-cell imaging, provide a behind-the-scenes look at how scientists observe cancer cells and study their behaviour in real time.<\/p>\n<p>The tour concludes with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss how laboratory experiments help advance our understanding of cancer and contribute to the development of new therapies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How do cancer cells spread through the body?
