While the possibilities of timber construction were still very limited in the 19th century due to the natural properties of wood, the development of wood materials and the combination with other materials has led to completely new architectural solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The tour will take you on a journey through the history of timber construction and explain the development of wood as a building material from the Renaissance to the present day.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation includes several guided tours through the exhibition in the ETH Material Hub in the Building Library.
