The exhibition at extract presents more than 500 historical and contemporary teaching and research models from the scientific collections of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich \u2013 many of them on public display for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Discover mathematical plaster models, crystal models, anatomical models made of wax and papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9, and aircraft models from ETH Zurich&#8217;s wind tunnel. Each object tells a story about how researchers visualise complex relationships and use models to generate new knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Since the 19th century, models have played a central role in research and teaching at ETH Zurich.
