People, places, and institutions are given new names when their role, their environment, or their sense of self changes. But how does a good name come about\u2014and what makes it meaningful?<\/p>\n
The Ethnographic Museum at the University of Zurich is currently searching for a new name. In this creative workshop, we explore stories of renaming and reinvention. Using objects from the museum\u2019s collection as a starting point, participants will develop an alter ego and find a fitting new name for it. What characteristics, memories, or ideas are embedded in this name? What stories does it tell?
