Vision Campus Irchel

Since the end of the 1970s, Irchel has been the second location of the UZH. After the opening of the first construction stage in 1979, it was continuously expanded. In 2021, the fifth construction stage was completed with the opening of the new laboratory building. Further expansion and renewal stages are planned until 2050. The exhibition “Vision Campus Irchel 2050” uses facts, figures and visualizations to provide an in-depth insight into how the Irchel campus has developed since the groundbreaking ceremony in 1973 and how it will be modernized in the coming decades.

Interested visitors can also learn more about the numerous works of art that can be found on the Irchel campus and what visions researchers have for the Irchel site.
