Mit Holz hoch hinaus
Prof. Dr. Andrea Frangi, Institute of Structural Engineering (IBK), ETH
Lecture in German
Wood is a natural building material with special properties. No wonder, the renewable material is experiencing a true renaissance. Even high-rise buildings made of wood will soon be built. This is made possible by technological advances in fire protection, in bonding and joining techniques and in processing. In addition, the use of wood as a building material allows for the long-term binding of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, to be stored in the long term.
